Abstract

The project titled “Forming Catalysts: A Fundamental Principle of Deep Chemistry, Life Chemistry, and Life” focuses on designing solid catalysts and investigating their thermo-catalytic abilities to convert CO2 into prebiotic compounds and metabolic intermediates under simulated hydrothermal vent conditions. Emphasis is placed on exploring the role of promoters, the composition and structural properties of the native metal catalysts, as well as interactions between the metal and its support.
