The project partners continue to actively disseminate the outcomes of the DELIGHTED project. Giacomo Villa from Politechnico di Milano presented the project outcomes at the International Symposium on New Developments in Advanced High-Strength Sheet Steels organized by Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), held on June 19-22 in Vail, Colorado, USA.
The conference aimed to bring together the international community to highlight state-of-the-art research and development pertaining to advanced high strength sheet steels. It focused on the latest developments in dual-phase, twinning-induced plasticity, martensitic, quenched and partitioned, medium-manganese steels, other third-generation AHSS concepts, hot-stamped steels, along with recent experiences with industrial implementation and end-user application performance. There was a broad distribution of presentation topics from international and domestic speakers from industry as well as academia. Giacomo delivered two talks during the event. His first talk focused on the weldability investigation on lightweight steels as part of the DELIGHTED project. In his second talk, Giacomo discussed the texture and anisotropy study conducted on a lightweight steel, also developed within the DELIGHTED project.
