IMDEA Materials Institute has celebrated its first alumni meeting in China as part of the Chinese Materials Conference 2022-2023.

The meeting was arranged to coincide with the attendance of IMDEA Materials’ Scientific Director, Prof. Javier LLorca who was invited to give two keynote lectures at the conference which was held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center and which was attended by more than 19,000 people.

The topics of Prof. Llorca’s lectures were «Mg wires and 3D printed scaffolds for biomedical applications» and «A multiscale modelling roadmap for virtual design of precipitation-hardened metallic alloys».

The IMDEA Materials alumni present for the meet up were Zhubao Shao, Chuanyun Wang, Nana Chen, Sha Liu (with husband Zhijie Wang), Wenliang Feng, Xueze Jin and Yunfu Ou.
